A stroll around London’s biggest example of Brutalist Architecture, with the low sun washing warm light over the stark concrete grabbing snaps of people as they enjoyed the hazy summer evening is never unpleasant. In an experimental way, I choose to shot many of these street scenes into the sun, conscious that this will reduce the images clarity and will over expose much of the image, but at the same time will create a warm hazy image to convey the summer vibe. There is also the risk that the lens will capture some flare (optical aberrations as light passes through the glass elements of the lens and light refraction occurs) which I was also happy for.
Kit used Canon EOS M6 with a 22mm lens (giving a 35mm full frame equivalent)
