We enjoyed a few days of proper winter weather in Kent and an early morning walk out in the fresh snow seemed like a great photography opportunity.
5am alarm, up, out and off into the white wilderness. Well, along the North Downs of NE Kent to be precise. But the sub zero temperatures and meter deep snow drifts actually added a wilderness element to the walk along familiar footpaths, as they felt and looked very different.
In total walking just over 10km’s, but it felt more like 15 as the depth of the snow in places made it harder going.
The photography wasn’t great, but I think that was just the trigger to get out early for a decent walk, and sometimes that’s fine!
