Escaped for a few days to Exmoor National Park for some overdue RnR. We used the Camping and Caravan site near Lynton as our base, which was a perfect location to explore the local area where we discovered that Exmoor has much to offer. From open Moorland that gives way to rolling lush farmland to the south, dramatic and savage cliffs weather by the Atlantic to the north with little bays and charming villages with very welcoming cafes and pubs, perfect. A little further west are the beautiful sandy bays of Croyde and Morte which, thanks to the Atlantic Ocean, are a surfers paradise. Yes, Exmoor certainly has a lot to offer. Oh and Dark Skies too, but that'll be another trip!
The Lynton Camping and Caravanning Club Site was very clean and well run by the small dedicated team who all live on site for the season. Lee Bay is a good walk away!
