Just back from the ABR Festival at Ragley Hall, and what a weekend!
Whilst I trailered Andy’s DRZ behind our campervan, Andy kindly rode my R1200GS to Ragley Hall to give us both the opportunity to ride the trails.
Fitting a fresh set of Continental TKC80s for the occasion transformed the big boxer from an amazing road touring machine into an unstoppable beast on the Bridgestone Adventure Trail. The tyres hooked up beautifully in the dirt and gave me loads of confidence throwing that massive beast around the dust trails around and beyond the beautiful grounds of the Ragley Hall Estate.
But the riding is only a part of the story. Once back from the ride and showered up, the afternoons were spent listening to great speakers, looking at and talking about bikes, clothing, and equipment, before enjoying a few cold beers and some incredible street food. By evening, the live music across various stages completed the party atmosphere.
I also have to pass on thanks to Vince and Adam at Phoenix Motorcycle Training for the opportunity, along with a few friends from LFBMCC, to ride the Manufacturers Trail on a great little Honda CRF300!
It honestly feels less like a bike show and more like a massive party! Absolutely cracking weekend. I’ve already got my tickets for next year!
This weekend was also not about photography, so just a few snaps I'm afraid!
