I promised Deb a great day riding through the Vercors plateaux and mountains, tackling the exciting balcony roads that combine fabulous views with challenging riding.
But Mother Nature had other plans, and for most of the day, our primary view was the inside of a cloud though rain soaked visors !
Thankfully, the weather broke just long enough to give us a taste of the region's stunning scenery.
Beyond the roads, we came here to pay our respects at key memorials honoring the horrific events of summer 1944 and the brave fighters of the French Resistance. Being completely dripping wet, we decided to save the Resistance Memorial at Vassieux-en-Vercors for next time.
A very damp day, but an incredible place, we’ll definitely be back!
